Cats Have All The Answers.

I like LOLCats and I Can Has Cheezburger, but lately, I’ve come to realize- cats do have the answers to all of life’s problems. I’m considering pitching a show idea to Animal Planet, called, “The Kitteh Is In.” I’ll become rich. Rich I tell you!

But first, a public service announcement.

Do As Nurse Kitteh Says

Do As Nurse Kitteh Says

Why in the hell does this crack me up?

Blog Review: ahkong.net, Flash Game Downloads.

Two years ago, I found the world of flash games. I became addicted, to the point that I honestly believe the games helped contribute to me, needing new glasses. If I couldn’t make it beyond a certain level, or figure out how to beat something, I’d go in search of walkthroughs. Unfortunately, I wasn’t aware of ahkong.net.

This site/blog/game downloads/walkthrough site-has it all if you’re a game player. So much, in fact, I spent 2 days reading his posts, the categories, trying to determine another link to provide, but couldn’t. I settled on his Flash Games Walkthroughs category, instead.

Deimos, the guy who runs the site, spends a lot of time not only providing flash games information, but PC games, a blog, wisdom and discusses Malaysia, which is where he lives. His site is one of the most popular around- one post alone has received over 190,000 views. Ahkong.net is a site you have to view for yourself, if you’re one who enjoys gaming- bookmark it if you play a lot of flash games.

Kitteh: The Smallest of Things Make Me Giggle.

I can’t help it, but for some, most likely psychological reason, which probably requires medication, this picture cracks me up.

The power of the kitteh.

The power of the kitteh.

Blog Review: The Øblog.

When bloggers ask me to review their blogs, I don’t consider it reviewing in the normal sense. I see it as introducing blogs to readers, who, may never have come across a particular blog through normal methods.

My primary audience are US readers and, the 2 reviews I am writing, (this review and one additional), will bring international bloggers to the forefront. Today’s blog, the Øblog, written by Øyvind hails from Norway. One aspect of blogging, we learn from each other, no matter where we live in the world. The Øblog is no exception.

Øyvind manages to show his country in a light not often seen. Be it pictures, (gorgeous pictures and one piece of his blog I love), through his writing and his explanation of the origins of his name. How many of us can say we know where/who we came from? (For the record, after reading, I became more interested, since my mother’s family migrated from Norway to Scotland). I don’t often link to the first post I read, but this time, I had to, simply because it fascinated me. He climbed what is called The Stolz in 25 minutes. That’s 800 steps. I’d still be sitting on step, oh 30, waiting for a lift.

The blog offers a little of everything. From life in Norway, technology, genealogy, DC projects he’s interested in, (Distributed Computing- think the Seti Project), even plugins and WordPress. Excellent layout, fast load time and easy navigation. My favorite posts, though, are the wonderful pictures, shops, landscapes-his home. This is what blogging should be-showing the world where you come from, your world and the Øblog accomplishes this easily.

You don’t have to pay money to take a trip around the world- read blogs, such as the Øblog and you feel as if you’re visiting. Worth the visit-and the read.
