New BlogCatalog Group: Bloggers Against Blog Bullying.

Due to recent events regarding Entrecard and it’s less than friendly/ethical practices, I have formed a new group on Blog Catalog:

Bloggers Against Blog Bullying, or BABB.

Taken from my description:

For those of us who are tired of other bloggers, or, social/traffic sites, dictating what we should, or should not write/discuss. Including design, monetization and traffic. Stand up to blogging bullies!

It’s time to take a stand.

Hmmm I did not know this. I get offended from time to time with people. I just have developed a thick skin. And I did read the Entre post and their less than sensitive attitude to you making money for them.

I think everyone gets offended from time to time- but, as of late, beginning with the EC crap, it seems more and more bloggers are telling other bloggers what they should/shouldn’t write. I’m not changing my blog to suit someone else.

Yeah, this is annoying to me. I recently had someone say that they enjoyed my blog but it is more of a personal diary and that I should develop a niche. Why the heck do I need to develop a niche? My blog… I can talk about whatever I want.

Exactly what I’m talking about-when did it become a rule that blogging required one particular topic? To me-reading blogs on one subject can become boring. Do these people discuss only one topic in real life? Of course not.

  3. Shelly says:

I’m coming right over. I try to stay neutral and I’ve only been blogging for 10 months but it seems like everyone is changing the rules to suit THEIR needs.

I’ve always been for the little guy. The way I blog and what I blog about hasn’t changed since day one. Besides, where are these rules and are they written in stone? It isn’t as if we sign a contract stating we will only discuss one topic when we start blogging. I’ve never been one for rules anyway :D

  4. Hi Beth

Unfortunately, “New Moon” is already being filmed! Our Wal-Mart has the DVD going 24/7 near the display, but fortunately, I only manage to see the credits. I’m not a big fan of movies made from books anyway, and your description of Twilight has made me decide I have no desire to see the movie(s) at all.

Personally, I thought “Breaking Dawn” was the best of the books, as it was the only one that kept me wondering what would happen next.
