How To Make Money: Post #1.
Get a job.
No, really. This is the best way to make money. Just ask me, someone who knows. Too many blogs in the blogosphere try telling you how to make money online, how rich you’ll become, how easy it is and you’ll never have to work again. Guess who’s making the money? That’s right- it isn’t you, it’s the people loading your brain full of crap. You may hit it lucky and be able to make enough to pay for utilities once in a while, gas and maybe groceries, but you certainly can’t rely on the income. Unless you really hit it lucky and manage to con people into believing you know what you’re talking about-the so-called “experts,” or “authority” bloggers. What suddenly made these people, experts? They worked the system and they worked you-when I say worked you I mean they convinced you into believing, you, too could get rich online. How many of you can raise your hands and say you were able to quit your day jobs and blog full-time? That’s what I thought.
Writing sponsored/paid posts and advertising is one thing- telling people they’ll get rich by doing so is another.

I realized it too nowadays many bloggers think they can make big money after reading some posts of some bloggers which earn a living by making money online. Well congratulation for those “experts” who managed to brainwash those people because they are the one who earn all the money!!!

LOL. That really made me giggle. How to make money? Get a job! Good advice. The really good bloggers will tell you it IS possible to make money blogging but it isn’t EASY.

It’s important for people to realise that nothing is easy, not even going pro in blogging. In order to be really good at something, a lot of work, effort and dedication have to be put into it. It IS possible to make money from blogging to support your whole family, but be prepared to face the barren days, which could be about a few months or forever depending on how good you really are. Seriously, I’d only raise my hands in my mind. Now that you’ve asked, I can’t. And no, don’t go buying all those ebook and pdf guides telling you how to market your blog and earn 5 digits per month.

Ok, this is really NOT a helpful post. You never talk about how I can actually go about getting a job. Miffed.

You just destroyed all my dreams – hehehe. Seriously its a good old way to make a few bucks to promise people wealth without much work. So I guess those kinda bloggers will continue to make those promises.
I couldn’t agree more. The worst thing is that ruddy digital pointless. It’s full of scam, spam and …errr….dram.

Making money online and making money from your blog are 2 different concepts. To make a full time income online you still have to put in many hours a day. The idea of writing an article and expecting your inbox to flood with paid review requests is far fetched. However, I think $100 a month earned from a blog is a resonable goal. In some countries, $100 goes a long way. Between pay per click, pay per post, affiliate commissions, and other sources of income, most bloggers could achieve that. Just from entrecard clicking you earn 9000 credits a month. If you sold them for $5 per 1000, thats $45 right there. That may not be worth the time invested, but just one example.

I think that’s her point Turnip- that making $100 is reasonable but there are a lot of people who think they can quit their day job and make thousands just like that.
You know what I have noticed about all the *expert* bloggers out there? They are BORING! It all sounds so monotone when reading them….
And I am trying to sift through all the crap, to find a small piece of info that I might be able to use.
I figure, I will do things MY way. And if I fail? So what. At least I tried. If I make $50 bucks a month, well then it’s $50 more then I had prior.

Entrepreneur is right- the entire point of the post came about due to spam I’ve received from a certain plugin author who shall remain nameless, who forces you to sign up just to download the plugins, then spams you with BS regarding marketing and making money. I never said it wasn’t possible, but people have to be realistic in their goals. A new blog, I consider a blog new 90 days and under, can expect to make a little money from sites like Project Wonderful. More established blogs will, of course, make more- but it depends on the time and effort put into it. I actually set a limit on myself at one point last summer because I could have easily made $1000+ a month. Then I I began to reconsider what I wanted from my blog-quality content or every other post paid. I’m not a niche blogger and many aren’t but try to be- this is where the mistakes happen. Trying to be something you aren’t and falling for the promises of others stating “you have to find a niche and you’ll make money.” This is why there are so few quality blogs now. Yes, I write paid reviews at times, but I can at least say I go a week or more between them. As for advertising on my site- I don’t make that much and what I have made- for example the ScratchBack widget, has been used to pay my web-host. Not to mention, the make money/marketing sites repeat themselves and never say something unique-they just feed off each other.
A steady job and a little freelance writing is good combination. But a job is not an easy thing to find. More sidelines..
The article is so true. For some reason i don\’t feel the transition to becoming a full time blogger is that easy.

yea im glad i never really fell for that stuff… it would be nice to make some extra side cash but i dont even know if thats worth the time or effort… especially after the google PR fiasco a couple months back.
haha, this is funny. Judging by the current senario, and the amount of monetization on this blog. The a-listers are making money telling you how to make money and your making money telling people to get a job. Classic.

Everybody has its own way of making money.
Yes , making money is a beautiful thing.
True, it’s not easy to make money blogging (well I haven’t found it easy anyway) but it isn’t hard to make money once you’ve been online for a while. It took me about 2 years of learning, trial and error, but I now earn double online what I did in my JOB. I did all my learning while working at a job though.
Work At Home Typing
It really isn’t easy to make money online. Especially if you don’t wanna give uncle same more money then you made at the end of every year. I’ve stopped trying actually. I don’t even get paid to do a job I’m doing now.
If you can do something else better than blogging, earning more money and perhaps developing a career, then go for it. Blogging is one of the last things that you should think about when considering your future. It’s not easy to do it and it gives you no satisfaction. Believe me, in time, whether you are a successful blogger or not, you will want more.
