Cher To Replace Celine Dion At Caesars Palace.
When I was all of oh, three years old, I loved dancing and singing. In fact, I thought I would one day become famous, going from my coffee table stage, with beige curtains wrapped around me before my mom had to “introduce” me, to the likes of Broadway, or any other venue. Yes, I was a demanding child, but hey, I had talent.
I loved to watch the variety shows, such as Donny and Marie and of course, Sonny and Cher. Cher was my favorite, mostly because of her hair, but I could mimic her and I knew every word to every song. I’m sure my mom was extremely proud that her little girl could sing Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves without missing a beat. Cher performed once here in Charleston and the tickets sold out within minutes so I was never able to see her during her “last world tour.”
Well, fear no more Cher fans, she is replacing Celine Dion, who recently gave up her gig at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Yes, Cher is going to Sin City and reap in millions. Raise your hand if you would rather receive Cher tickets at Caesars Palace than Celine Dion? Exactly. If you’re in the market for a Vegas vacation and can afford tickets-go. Bring me back a t-shirt because I can’t even afford that.
Isn’t she like 70 now?
Maybe she does her show with a walker and a Medic Alert bracelet now.
You see… I’m a Cher fan as much as a Celine Dion fan. I have seen the fabulous ‘A New Day’ at the Caesars Palace, which is now on DVD and is worth buying. Cher will certainly give a great show as well but I don’t see why you shouldn’t like Celine Dion to be a Cher fan. They are both great entertainers.
I never said you couldn’t be a fan of both. First, I offend Bea Arthur fans, now I’m offending Cher and Celine Dion fans.

WOW, I was actually just talking to my daughter about Cher the other day. Well, not quite talking about her, but, oh, I don’t know how to explain what we were talking about…LOL! But it did have something to do with the fact that I hadn’t seen her in the media for a VERY long time and I wondered if she had fallen apart from all the various plastic surgeries and stuff…LOL!

I am a big Cher fan and was thrilled when I originally red the 2006 postings that she would replace Celine (I love her as well and her show was fabulous). I then heard about Bet Midler (saw her “Kiss My Brass” tour and was very disappointed.) and was let down. Now I hear this report but yet I have read other reports that this is all false and she hasn’t announced anything. Can anyone please tell me if this is true or not???? itsmeddd99@yahoo.com

just got a notice from ceasers telling the dates she would be there in my eamail, so yes she is there, how long…maybe limited since there are dates posted on my email.
