Drop Your Card Meme-With A Twist.
Elizabeth from Alive tagged me with this meme and although I don’t usually do them, I will for her, but with a twist. Since I disagree with how the person who originated the meme utilizes EntreCard, I refuse to provide a link back to his blog. Call me what you please, but I don’t believe in insulting other bloggers, or encouraging shady ways of using a free service. It’s as simple as that. You can read the original meme instructions at the link above-but this is my version of the meme.
1. Read these instructions twice;
2. Drop your EntreCard at this site.
3. Drop your EntreCard at the 5 EntreCard users’ sites listed below.
4. Choose 5 other EntreCard users.
5. Copy these instructions to your own Entrecard meme article and tag (link) those 5 people.
6. Include a link to the Entrecard meme article of the person who tagged you.
7. Notify the people you choose that they’ve been tagged.
8. Comment below so even passers-by can drop their card at your site, too (it shows you are active and will likely return the favor).
9. (optional) IF you tag your blogs, use both “entrecard” and “entrecard meme” as tags so that others can find them AND so that we can find them all later as this grows. (If you don’t know what tagging is, don’t worry).
10. My addition to the meme: I encourage you to also comment on the blogs you drop EntreCards on and write recommendations- not only for my blog but others as well. This shows that you DO take the time to visit and read a little instead of becoming a chain dropper.
Five blogs that I have discovered through Entrecard and love are:
The How2 Blogger-I adore his blog and sense of humor.
Daisy The Curly Cat-The pictures of Daisy the cat crack me up, along with the commentary provided by her owner.
A Strange Life-She has the same sick and twisted sense of humor as myself, which is why I love reading her blog.
A Geek’s Journey-Colin King was the first blog I visited on EntreCard-full of advice on making money online-without all the fuss.
Gospel According To Rhys-Not the kind of gospel you’re probably thinking, this Brit is witty, entertaining and has a heck of a good blog.
Now, visit these blogs, drop your card, comment and recommend the blogs to others. This is how EntreCard should work.

cool and interesting blog you got here..

rose’s last blog post..squirrel
Wow! Thanks for listing my blog! That makes me feel very happy and proud. I like to visit A Strange Life, too. I’ll be back. Meow!
Daisy the Curly Cat’s last blog post..Wordless Wednesday: My eyes of many colors
Oh no… not another meme… thx for for including me, I’ll continue it but with your copy, it’s a lot more palatable
Colin King’s last blog post..Why Don’t You Get Flocked?
Thanks for the link! I’m going to do a post on Entrecard soon (sometime next week, damn my posts fall back!) I will mention this.
Rhys’s last blog post..Finally - A Welsh World Champion
I was um… chain-dropping when I read your post! I got the same meme too, but have debated whether or not I should do anything with it. I’m not the type of person that forwards those cheesy emails either, you know… send to 10 people now or else you’ll have bad luck? Anyway, just wanted to comment to let you know that not all chain-droppers are guilty of not reading or commenting on the blogs they drop on. But now that you’ve piqued my curiosity, I may have to stop by again!
heidi’s last blog post..Networking Updates
Rose: Thank you! Stop by again!
Daisy The Kitty: I ADORE your blog. I’m allergic to cats, but I had one for 19 years of my life- I think the two of you would have gotten along, although she could be a snob at times
Colin: lol- You really don’t have to continue it- I just wanted to let people know of the new blogs I had found, it was VERY difficult choosing since I like so many and your blog was the first I dropped my card on
Rhys: You silly nilly-I think you’ve had one too many pints <–see I do watch BBC America.
heidi: the point isn’t to necessarily continue the meme- it’s to read the blogs, at least the first few posts. This is what EntreCard is about- hey, if you hadn’t read this post- you would never have known
Hey, glad you found the meme. Even if your skin is thinner a frog’s, it’s nice to know that something I created has been able to benefit both you, those you’ve tagged, those who’ve tagged you and those who will continue to be tagged. I guess you didn’t really think about that and would prefer to praise someone who merely copied and pasted a bunch of links into a viral link farm campaign without any thought or consideration for those whose links and brand images were in them.
But it’s nice that you see the benefit in this and whether or not you show me any “love” in return or even allow this comment to go through, we both know that you got some real bonafide connectivity/social benefit from it.
The only regret that I have is that you stole the role of Grinch from this ongoing play. I really like that part but, for me, it’s just a role - with you, it seems to fit like a shoe.
Happy deleting!

ps. though you won’t quite comprehend this, I’ll say it for the passers-by - that if you repost something someone created and you don’t follow the instructions for the rights to reprint and benefit from it then you’re not only a criminal… but also a scumbag.
It’s ok, honey, hope springs eternal. And if you can’t handle life in the blogosphere then you should switch off soon because your tiny complaint is nothing compared to the REAL issues you haven’t even run into yet.
Happy deleting!
Sam
Good luck getting that prosecuted. Ha! There is attribution by way of a link back to another site that is linking to yet another site, that will eventually get back to the originator.
Silly, blogger, getting your little boy drawers in a bunch over a link. That’s just sad.
