Remember my rant the other day about my new job? Well, folks, I am back at the newspaper. They offered me more hours so, well I took it. I knew from the beginning I wasn’t going to like the job at the dealership. For starters, the woman who was my supervisor had a voice that got on my last nerve. You know the kind-screeching, ear-breaking- and apparently she knows more four letter words than most. The 2nd factor was the so-called overtime. I wouldn’t have been paid time and a half for anything over 40 hours. Lastly, the insurance- $250 a month on the hourly wage I was getting– impossible. So, I emailed my boss here at the paper, asked her if I could come back at 30 hours a week, (keep in mind I am paid $3 more on the hour here than at the dealership, I actually make more by working less hours), and it was approved! Happy? You betcha. I’m going to work this job into a full-time position whether they want me to or not.

I also need to give a big thank you to blueyes from By The Sea- she sent me several much needed items for my new place. I still need a microwave but that can wait until I get enough cash. Ok, an hour to go, so I better finish up my work.
