A piece of advice: If you’re travelling through Parkersburg, West Virginia, do not stay at the Red Roof Inn. Reasons? Well, for one, it’s just nasty. Ok, maybe I’m used to have a little money and staying at hotels, not motels, but come on, can these places paint once in a while? Is dusting that difficult? Is cleaning the mildew from the shower head a huge problem? I wouldn’t want to be a motel housekeeper either- but if I was- I would do my job. The only reason I stayed there is because, well it was cheap. The weather was so bad yesterday I knew I would need to drive the 90+ miles and stay overnight so I could make it to work today. I feel like I’ve been on a trip to hell, a seedy motel room only I didn’t get the action some people get. I considered ordering the adult movie, but with my luck the good parts would have been pixeled out and my $10 or whatever would have been wasted. Oh, and the pubic hair on the shower wall. I gagged. I went out and bought Lysol, sprayed it everywhere and felt a little better. I also didn’t turn down all the covers on the bed. I didn’t want to see what stains were splattered across the sheets.

I was at a place like that too.
I’d been looking forward to a long hot shower, but the bathroom (and especially the shower) was so gross that I just hurried up and washed and got the heck out of there.
Yecchh!
Try the Blennerhasset (sp?). They’ve totally redone it and they’ve got a good bar AND a Starbucks all in the lobby.
