The Flies That Won’t Die.

The other day, I was sitting on the pot, minding my own business when I saw them. The flies. Now, before you say, “Holy Mother Of God, she lives in a trash pile,” I don’t. My house is clean. Hence the confusion over where the hell these flies are coming from. I killed 5 that day. Later in the evening, as I was getting ready for my nightly bath, I see a few more. I thought ok-did these things return from the dead? I flushed them. They should be swimming in poo. So, I smash these flies as well. Fast forward to tonight. I have now killed, tonight alone, a total of 10 flies. Flies with orange eyes/head. I have never witnessed a fly with orange eyes/heads. I have sprayed bug spray, I have to be careful since I have pets in the house, but, they keep coming back. At first I thought perhaps the mouse I was trying to kill a few weeks back had passed away-but come on-wouldn’t I have smelled something? The devil flies have mostly been in the bathroom-with an occasional stray into the family room- I see 2 now on the ceiling, which I can’t reach since it’s 8ft high and I’m 5′5. No trash is in the house. The rat’s cages are clean. So where are these dirty, vomit producing creatures coming from? Alien flies? Has anyone else ever seen flies with orange eyes/heads? Am I going to have to move because of this? I feel like I’ll need to sleep with a mosquito net over my bed. They won’t win. Just as the mouse before them, they will die a bloody death.
