For those of you updating to WP 2.0, to activate the Akismet plugin-sign up at WordPress[dot]com and get the API key. I had several anti-spam plugins running and none of them were working. I would also suggest-to the WP Development folks in the mIRC channel-be a little more polite and try to be helpful when someone asks a question. Don’t act as if you know it all and the user doesn’t. I actually had to figure out my own issue with the so-called new and improved WYSIWYG rich text editor. Now, the other evening I visited the channel and they were very helpful. Not today. If any of you read this, which I’m sure you’re biting your nails in anticipation of an update from my blog, your users are the keys to your success. Don’t get high and mighty.
I Haven’t Slept In 20 Hours.
Yes, that’s correct. I have not slept in 20 hours. I even took an employment test and I think I did pretty damn well, considering. My numerical keystrokes were a little off, but, the tab key kept sticking. She said she would “note” my print-out so the management would take that into consideration. Yeah. Ok. And monkeys are flying out of my ass as we speak. I’m trying to call a woman back who left a message while I was gone-for another job. I actually had to look it up in my history on monster.com because I couldn’t remember what it was-however I did apply for it and I’ll be damned if it isn’t the one I applied to on a whim because I didn’t think I would get a call back. Pays well too.
Tomorrow I am calling Curves so I can begin my 3 day a week workout routine. Note the enthusiasm in my typing. I don’t care about losing weight, (ok I do but I’m not making a big deal out of it), I want to be healthy and in shape. I can be a little chunky and still be healthy. Makes note to self: Stop the current Sierra Mist obsession.
My sweet mother bought me the new Stephen King book for my birthday. I have yet to finish the last two in the Gunslinger series. I think I waited 10 years in between 2 of the books. I’d like to get the boxed set so I could re-read the first few books so I would remember what was going on. And, yes, my birthday isn’t until Feburary 3. She bought it because I had mentioned it. Plus it’s all I’m getting.
I need sleep. Bad. Real bad.

:moon: This is how I feel about WP 2.0. I don’t really care for it. Sorry. I have had a hell of a time with the more-smilies and wp-grins plugins. I turned the new freakin’ editor off because it lagged in Firefox. Didn’t lag in IE, which is strange. I couldn’t even type a post. I would get one word typed and couldn’t space forward or backward. I now have to go through all of my themes and remove what I don’t want showing for now because the theme switcher doesn’t allow the admin option of choosing which themes to display. It’s taken me 2 hours to get everything straight-this isn’t including the time I spent backing up my database and all of my files. I have a test to take at 9am. I’m not in a good mood.
