Friends.

If someone calls you his or her friend then hides things from you, this person isn’t a true friend. Apparently I have no true friends. Real life, or, online. This is my problem. I try to be the best friend I can possibly be. Yes, I make mistakes. No one is perfect. But don’t ignore me. Tell me the truth and you’ll be much better off. If you claim you’re “not like the others”, then don’t be like the others. If it’s ok to be in my life but it isn’t ok for me to be in yours, then don’t bother me. I have no use for people like that.

Hey… what are you talking about??? How about me.. your oldest friend with the white sandals in Kindergarten?

  2. Beth says:

Don’t forget they were in-between the toe sandals too. I’m not talking about you. Just certain people in this world who aren’t willing to tell you the truth yet call you their friend.

I know, I know, a little late on the response, but just wanted to say that the most important thing is to just stay yourself. I’ve had so many people betray my trust over the long years, but I keep going back and trusting new people by default. Someone told me it was a dumb thing to do, but you know what? I refuse to let someone else, who isn’t worth my time, change something that I like about me. From what I’ve read on your blog (and I still have no idea how I landed here in the first place) you’ve got a fantastic personality, so my advice is to curl up around those parts of yourself that you like the most and don’t let any of the jerks out there make you change those.

Thanks for the comment, pete :)
